ERF description: Unit 1 was in shutdown when short term arc short circuit appeared as a result of human errors (e.g. insufficient insulation, insufficient indication of insulation resistence) in the switchgear cabinet for secondary circuit loads. Short circuit was removed by the recently installed advanced fast acting breaker. The inflammation of electrical wires insulation occurred, neighbouring cabinets and surroundings were not affected. The total damage was estimated to amount to less than 100 US$. The event had no safety consequences and it was classified out of INES scale. Public was informed about this event in the press and TV.
