INTRODUCTION

There have been only three events in history of profound importance: 
The Creation, The Birth of Christ, and the Discovery of Nuclear Fission.

This publication will be confined to the discussion of ionizing radiation, that is, 
the effect of natural (background) radiation, remaining from the formation of the 
earth, and of manmade radioactivity, which is new to this century and has been 
proliferating alarmingly in the last decade. We are just beginning to discover the 
health effects of the low and high frequency electromagnetic oscillations, which 
do not ionize (disintegrate) atoms. Sources of these oscillations include radar, 
computer terminals,
TV, telephone transmission towers, microwave ovens and high voltage electric 
power lines.
More especially the problems arising from man-made nuclear fission products 
demand attention because we are multiplying these most lethal substances daily 
without having found any way to dispose of them, or to store them with perfect 
containment against escape into the environment for the incredibly long periods 
of time that they are radioactive.
