INTRODUCTION TO VOLUME II This volume contains detailed technical reports on the following reactor types: pressurized and boiling water reactors, graphite moderated pressure tube boiling water reactors (RBMK), pressurized heavy water reactors (CANDU), magnox reactors, and advanced gas-cooled reactors. Those reactor types, as designed and built in different countries, are described and analyzed according to a list of criteria which were laid down by the coordinating office at the beginning of the study. The criteria are reproduced below. Each author was free, however, to depart somewhat from the criteria scheme if it was thought appropriate for the better presentation of her/his report
